Since summer 2011 the Santa Elisabetta restaurant has offered a new choice the Osteria della Pagliazza a Tuscan cookery corner completing a food panorama conceived for every taste and to bring out the Tuscan flavours. Right on the ground floor of the Hotel Brunelleschi, the Osteria in Florence boasts a rich menu where our territory products are enhanced.
The real protagonist of this characteristic osteria in Florence is the typical Tuscan cuisine, one of the most renowned in Italy, with tasteful and delicious recipes, from the pappa al pomodoro (typical bread and tomato soup) to the Florentine carabaccia (a Tuscan onion soup), from the “peposo”, the typical stew with potatoes, “porchetta”- style rabbit (flavoured with pepper, rosemary, garlic and other seasonings), fagioli al fiasco (Italian Baked Beans), the panzanella (Tuscan summer bread salad), traditional cold cuts from the famous butcher shop Da Giacomo from Monsummano Terme and a special selection of Italian cheese, including the mozzarella di bufala campana DOP, the DOP Buffalo-milk mozzarella from Campania.
Besides the most famous and well-known recipes reported in the annals of the city’s history, the Osteria in Florence centre offers an exclusive and breathtaking location in the same bulding of the hotel. During the long warm season, you will enjoy your meals at one of our al fresco tables located in the charming square out the hotel near the centre.
