This exhibition, gathering more than 100 works from the most important museums of the world, or from private collections, aims at showing all the European artistic movements between the two World Wars. Paintings by Carrà and Morandi, memorable works by Magritte, Ernst and Balthus represent the European avant-garde styles from Dadaism to Surrealism, to Magic Realism, starting from De Chirico’s revolutionary new approach to painting.
