Boboli Garden is one of the most beautiful parks in Florence
The Boboli Garden is a fascinating historic park in the centre of Florence, immediately behind the famous Pitti Palace. It was built between the 15th and 16th century on an area of 45,000 square meters, becoming in the course of time a residence of the Medici family, of Lorraine and of Savoia. The location of the Boboli Garden, very central, makes it appealing to thousands visitors of the Tuscan town. The reduced distance from the Hotel Brunelleschi, about four hundred meters, makes it a safe destination for anyone looking for a dream stay in a hotel in Florence centre.
Boboli Garden, a fable of other times
The Boboli Garden is part of the association “Grandi Giardini Italiani”, a brand that encompasses all the wonderful gardens that can be visited in Italy. Its grandeur must be found in the great collection of sculptures, from Roman antiquities to the 19th century, as well as in its architectural structure. The name, most likely, comes from that of the Borgolo family, the first owner of the land where the garden will later be built. With strong slopes, a nearly triangular shape and the characteristic Fountain of Neptune, the Boboli Garden is a delightful piece of Florentine history to be known.
Statues, clearings, terraces, pathways, paths and fenced gardens define the stylistic figure of a complex with an ancient soul, capable of ecstasy for its richness and scenic variety, by impressive impact. In the Boboli Garden there are a lot of centres of interest: from the Amphitheatre to the Knight’s Garden, from the lawn of Ganimede to the Kaffeehaus until the Garden of Jupiter and the Grotta dei Buontalenti. All the symbol and part of the most elegant past of the city, come to us in an atmosphere of intact beauty.
