The exhibition From Kandinsky to Pollock in Florence, the great art of the Guggenheim will be hosted by Palazzo Strozzi from 19th March 2016 until 24th July 2016: over one hundred masterpieces of European and American art from the 1920s to the 1960s will be on display in a narrative that reconstructs the relationship and the ties between the two sides of the Ocean through the sign of two leading American collectors, Peggy and Solomon Guggenheim.

Palazzo Strozzi is located in Piazza degli Strozzi, into the historical center, and it annually hosts the most important international exhibitions in the city.

The masterpieces coming from the collections of New York, Venice and other international museums have names such as Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, Man Ray and the so-called European informal as Alberto Burri, Emilio Vedova, Jean Dubuffet, Lucio Fontana, together with large paintings and sculptures by some of the major figures in the American art of the fifties and sixties as Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Willem de Kooning, Alexander Calder, Roy Lichtenstein, Cy Twombly.
The event’s venue is five minutes far from the Hotel Brunelleschi walking through the shopping streets of the historic center.
