Free admission to State Museums of Florence on the first Sunday of each month

If you are looking for a good reason to spend next weekend in Florence take advantage of the opportunity to visit museums for free. In fact, every first Sunday of the month the state museums of the city are opened to the public with free admission. In some months, it are also organized special events related to a specific theme. It is the website of the Ministry of Heritage, Culture and Tourism to give news of the theme chosen for the single month, to valorise the works in the various museums on that specific topic and to encourage the use of hashtag #domenicalmuseo to share personal experiences on social networks.

We remind you, however, that not all museums in Florence are stately (Florentine museum pole) but they are private: for example the famous Strozzi Palace, seat of major international exhibitions. Currently it is hosting the exhibition Ai Weiwei. Libero.
