The wonderful canvas “Répétition d’un ballet sur la scène” (the famous Dancers of Degas) will arrive in Florence together with another work by the French master and ten other Impressionist masterpieces: two works by Degas, two by Claude Monet, two by Paul Cézanne, two by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, two by Camille Pissarro, one by Henri Fantin-Latour and one work by Paul Guigou. The event is part of an exchange between the Pitti Palace and the Orsay Museum. In fact, just last 10 April, at the Orangerie in Paris, it has opened an important exhibition dedicated to the theme “Les macchiaioli des Impressionistes Italiens?”.

Our boutique hotel in Florence is the ideal starting point for a holiday in the art. It is located in the Tower of Pagliazza, in one of the oldest buildings in the town, it houses an interesting museum with an ancient Roman caldarium (room for hot water baths and steam baths in the Roman thermae), a collection of Renaissance plates, ceramic objects, Roman fragments and several examples of medieval times. You will be surrounded by history: the ancient stone walls are clearly visible in the public areas of the hotel and in the Pagliazza Tower Suite, overlooking the Brunelleschi’s Dome, on top of our ancient medieval tower.
