The Large Bronzes and the Baptistery: Rustici and Leonardo once more together in Florence

December 28, 2010

Hotel Brunelleschi, 4-star property located in the Florence town centre, proposes “The Large Bronzes and the Baptistery: Rustici and Leonardo exhibition”, the first ever exhibition dedicated to Gianfrancesco Rustici.

From September 10,2010  to January 10,2011, the Bargello National Museum will host the masterpiece Saint John the Baptist by Leonardo, back to Florence after 500 years.

This work, a loan by the Louvre Museum,  shows how Rustici’s style was deeply influenced by Leonardo’s genius,  especially when noticing the marked resemblance between the Baptist by Rustici and the one by Leonardo.
