Chef Simone Bertaccini offers a special winter menu to enjoy at Santa Elisabetta Restaurant until March 2013. The restaurant is on the first floor of the ancient and charming Byzantine Pagliazza Tower that, with its unique circular shape, surprise and intrigue all who pass through the small Piazza Santa Elisabetta, located a few meters from Florence Cathedral, in a small parallel street to the Via de’ Calzaiuoli.

Let yourself be seduced by the specialties of our chef, from starters to desserts. Among the starters, we suggest “The seafoods: grilled in crust of bread and wrapped in bacon, with cauliflower salad, anchovies and olives, garlic sauce” and “The quail stuffed Tuscan style, with bread, beets, apples and bacon, its egg and reduction of Porto”. Who wants to start with the simplicity of a typical Tuscan dish can try “La Panzanella of bread and vegetables like they do in Florence”. Among the first courses of “…fresh pasta and not only” you have to try: the “two-tone ravioli chocolate stuffed with duck and vegetables with gravy bound” and “The naked of ricotta and spinach with clams, fish eggs, cream of broccoli”. In the section “Meat and fish” there is all year round the “Fiorentina”, along with “The Angus Ireland steak”, and “The Fassona-scottona steak of Piedmont” and, in addition, you can also find delicious sea proposals: from “The redfish: fish soup broth, shellfish and sheets of bread” to “the sword”, a medallion of swordfish roasted with onion cream of Certaldo and squid ink which is accompanied by an exotic roulade with lettuce and cous-cous.
