Tuscany is well known for the production of some of the most important Italian wines, like Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino or Nobile di Montepulciano, and during your visit of Florence you will have the chance to try them, sitting just in the shadow of the dome of Santa Maria del Fiore.

In the city centre, there are a lot of wine shops and bars where you can try Tuscan wines paired with some of typical Tuscan dishes, like cured meats or cheeses: thanks to this marriage, you will be able to enjoy an incredible experience thanks to the unique flavours of the food and the wine tradition of Tuscany.

With a wine tour of Florence, you can for sure enjoy a wine tasting in a wine shop but, if you have a car, it would be a great idea to enjoy a glass of wine surrounded by the vineyards: if you can spend a day visiting the surroundings of Florence you will be able to visit wineries and farms where all these wines are made.

In less than an hour you will arrive in the Chianti area, one of the most renowned production zones well known for the quality and the prestige of its wines.

Driving on the road through the wonderful hills of the region, you will reach Montepulciano and then Montalcino, home of the world-famous Brunello di Montalcino.

Once arrived you will enjoy a glass of wine in the countryside and you will have the chance to buy a pair of bottles, that you can enjoy during a nice dinner with friends.
