Exhibition from Kandinsky to Pollock in Florence, the great art of the Guggenheim

Exhibition from Kandinsky to Pollock in Florence, the great art of the Guggenheim at Palazzo Strozzi from March 19, 2016 to July 24, 2016: more than 100 masterpieces of European and American art from the 1920s to the 1960s will be on display in a story that reconstructs the connections and relationships between the two shores of the ocean, under the banner of American collectors Peggy and Solomon Guggenheim.

The masterpieces from the New York and Venetian collections, as well as from other international museums, have names such as Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, Man Ray, and the so called European informalists like Alberto Burri, Emilio Vedova, Jean Dubuffet and Lucio Fontana, together with great paintings and sculptures of some of the most important people of American art of the 1950s and 60s, like Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Willem di Kooning, Alexander Calder, Roy Lichtenstein and Sy Twombly.
